Online Intro to Coding Workshop Part 2 [For complete beginners]

Have you been meaning to learn how to code but have not gotten around to it? Start your 2021 off with us, learning how to code!

We are hosting a FREE beginner workshop series to get you started learning how to code.

For the first 3 Sunday nights in January, we will be holding beginner coding workshops to get you started. Just two hours every Sunday night for your first three Sundays of 2021 with us, learning how to code.

This program is for YOU if you have always thought of yourself as non-technical. We hope these workshops will serve as a gentle introduction into learning how to program.

We highly suggest that you attend all 3 of Sunday classes in this series.

• how to use Visual Studio Code (VSCode)
• creating and running files
• the relationship between HTML and JavaScript
• arithmetic operators (Don't worry! You don't need to be good at math for this!)

SCHEDULE

19:50 - Lectures & activities covering the topics mentioned above
20:50 - Wrap up!

WHAT TO PREPARE

• You will need a laptop or desktop to follow along with this event. However, we still welcome you to join along and take notes if you do not have access to one of those devices!
• You will need to download on your computer the Chrome browser (https://www.google.com/chrome/)
• You will need to download and install Visual Studio Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/) onto your computer
