Building Boulder: Judge Cooke and Homeless Navigator Elizabeth Robinson
Details
Join us for the second speaker in our new Building Boulder speaker series! We give policy makers and influencers a chance to present their ideas on their work: why they do what they do, and what their toolset consists of.
This week: Municipal Judge Linda Cooke and Homeless Navigator Elizabeth Robinson.
Homelessness is an ever more pervasive social issue and one that is highly visible in Boulder. The Boulder Municipal Court takes a problem-solving approach to most low-level crimes involving homeless defendants. Court staff works very closely with local homeless service providers, including the one-year-old Coordinated Entry system, as well as with internal partners such as the Boulder Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team and the Homeless Initiatives Manager.
