About us
Coffee Talks: Masculinity & The Body is an in-person gathering in Barcelona facilitated by Alejandra Misiolek, medical doctor, clinical psychologist, certified psychotherapist and founder of Proyecto ART, an eating disorders clinic.
The aim is to open a safe, warm and reflective space to talk about men’s relationship with their bodies: how it is built, what pressures shape it, when fitness or discipline starts to hurt, and why so many men experience body-related suffering in silence.
It would not be group therapy or an academic lecture. It would be a space for conversation, psychoeducation and community, where each person can listen, reflect, share if they want to, and ask more honest questions about the body, masculinity, control, strength, shame and vulnerability.
The idea is to create a space where people can speak without judgment about things that are often hidden behind sentences like:
- “I just want to be stronger.”
- “I just want to be disciplined.”
- “I’m just taking care of myself.”
- “It’s nothing.”
- “I can handle it alone.”
