Does (the thought of) living in a cookie-cutter "community" make you feel isolated, lonely or depressed? Do you ever wonder if housing could be different with better social connections and purpose? If so, a CoHousing community could be the very thing that you're after.
Started in Denmark during the 1970s and brought over to North America during the 1990s, CoHousing reintroduces many aspects of village life but with a modern twist. CoHousing reimagines community with an intentional emphasis on strong social connections and sustainable living. The Prince George CoHousing (CoHoPG) group intends to create a CoHousing community in BC's Northern Capital.
CoHoPG is starting up and is looking for new members who are either curious or knowledgeable in CoHousing communities and would be willing to be apart of the process of developing and living in Prince George's first CoHousing community.
This is a professionally oriented group; therefore, attendance is a required aspect of membership. Three consecutive non-attendance at meetups events may result in possible expulsion from the group. Any hateful, divisive, intolerant or immature comment or behaviour will result in expulsion from the group.
