Holiday Cards Writing Party For Incarcerated LGBTQ+ Folks

Our next letter-writing party is here!!!! 📬✨

This time, we’re focusing on incarcerated LGBTQ+ folks, in collaboration with Southern Colorado Black & Pink, an incredible abolitionist organization supporting LGBTQ+ community members behind bars.

Let’s be honest: prisons are violent, dehumanizing places, and things are even worse for people who are already marginalized. In a more just society built on community care, harm prevention, and transformative/restorative justice, prisons wouldn’t exist. But that’s not the world we live in…yet. Until we get there, we continue to show up, build solidarity, and support those at the sharpest intersections of oppression: the criminalization of poverty, racism, homophobia, and transphobia. Incarcerated LGBTQ+ people deserve our love, our care, and to know they are not forgotten.

So come join us to write holiday cards and letters, send warmth behind the walls, and remind people that they deserve better, and they are not alone. 💌✨

We’ll meet Saturday 12/6, 2–4pm in a community room in West Colfax, sign up to get the address (https://tinyurl.com/Dec6WritingParty ). The space is wheelchair accessible, and masks will be available. All writing materials will be provided, and we’ll have vegan + gluten-free snacks. If you can, stamps are very appreciated to help us send more letters out.
