Welcome to the Colorado Mountain Explorers Meetup group! If you love the great outdoors and exploring the beautiful mountains of Colorado, this may be the group for you. Join us for mostly day trips, scenic drives, short hikes, camping trips, and finding those hidden gems off the beaten path.

Day trips & exploring would be primarily on Sundays as that's my normal day off. Typically can't do Saturdays or entire weekends due to work.

Just lost my wife Laura (Lolo) to cancer on Mother's Day 2025. This was to be our summer to really get out and explore---would like to continue exploring in her honor with some new friends. Love getting out there on Forest Roads, dirt roads, back highways---also anything with a "brown sign" that points the way to recreation areas or viewpoints, etc....My car automatically turns at those signs :)
