Power Tools for Quantum Developers: Simulating Quantum Supremacy, Enabling Innov

Details
Join us for an evening of pizza, quantum breakthroughs, and beers with the team from Quantum Rings.
In this talk, Bob Wold and Venkat Kasirajan of Quantum Rings will show how classical simulation is being reimagined to empower quantum developers today. Building on their recent white paper, they’ll walk through how the Quantum Rings SDK successfully simulated Google’s Sycamore random circuit sampling (RCS) experiment—long considered the benchmark for quantum supremacy—using just 32 GB of RAM and achieving an accuracy higher than those reported from the original quantum device.
They’ll also share follow-up work that leverages GPU and parallel computing to scale even further, and explain why redefining the supremacy boundary isn’t just a theoretical exercise—it’s a practical leap forward for quantum algorithm development. With easy-to-use tooling and compatibility with existing QASM and Qiskit workflows, the Quantum Rings SDK offers developers the ability to build, test, and iterate on large-scale quantum circuits today, without needing access to fragile quantum hardware.
Whether you're a researcher, engineer, or just quantum-curious, this session will give you a fresh perspective on what’s possible—and what’s next.

Bob Wold is the CEO of Quantum Rings and a longtime technology leader with a 25-year track record of turning emerging technologies into real-world solutions. He began his career at a tech startup in the late ’90s, which was later acquired and has since brought a lean, product-focused mindset into large enterprises. Most recently, Bob served as Vice President of Technology Innovation at Trimble Inc., where he led company-wide innovation and technology strategy. Now back in the startup world, Bob co-founded Quantum Rings to help enterprises take practical steps toward quantum computing readiness—starting today.
Venkat Kasirajan is the CTO of Quantum Rings, a visionary technologist, published author, and hands-on builder with over 25 years of experience bringing cutting-edge science to market. A physicist at heart, Venkat has spent his career bridging the gap between theory and application through advances in computer science—most recently in the field of quantum computing.
After personally experiencing the tooling and scalability challenges faced by quantum developers, Venkat shaped the original vision for Quantum Rings: a developer-first platform for large-scale circuit simulation on everyday hardware. Before co-founding Quantum Rings, he launched a startup in 2006 focused on spatial computing, which was acquired by Trimble Inc. in 2012. Today, Venkat leads technical strategy and R&D, advancing the limits of classical simulation to help quantum developers build the future—now.
