Tour Details

Accompanied by a cruise ship you cycle along Europe's second longest river Danube from the charming Bavarian “three river city” of Passau straight into the heart of the once glorious Imperial and Royal Monarchy.

Enjoy three of the most enchanting European capitals: the lively Vienna, the Slovak coronation city of Bratislava at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains and Budapest, the "Hungarian Danube Queen"!

By bicycle you discover the stunning natural spectacle of the Schlögener Donauschlinge ("Great Loop"), the legendary Wachau with romantic towns and mighty castles amidst lovely vineyards, the untouched alluvial forests of the Danube National Park, as well as the baroque town of Vác with its colourful 18th century houses. The highlights of the tour: Passau, the City of 3 rivers, the Schloegen Danube Loop, the Hungarian Danube Bend, the World Heritage Site Wachau, the metropolises of Bratislava, Budapest and Vienna.

If you’ve arrived early, you’re welcome to leave luggage at the front desk and take a swimsuit/clothes to the spa/swimming pool area and take a shower, relax and enjoy the pool, sauna, steam bath or just get a massage or a nap

Now that Taylor and Travis are finally engaged, I feel free to invite y'all to O'Furry's for dance fun with Hot Boots. I mean, Taylor and I were practically neighbors back in Pennsylvania -- just 35 miles and 35 years apart. Alas, I doubt they'll invite me to the wedding but speaking of old age, maybe Barry on guitar will tell his antique store joke. Anyway, no matter what happens, I'll be laughing it up, dancing, and acting generally NOT my age. Hopefully, you will join me.

We will be sitting with the Colorado Springs Live Music Lovers group at whatever tables we can grab near the dance floor.

We will hike the Iron Mountain Trail starting from the Intemann Trailhead on Crystal Park Road. Then as a reward for being a good little hiker, we will drive back down the road to the Crystal Park Cantina for Margaritas and/or comida Mexicana. The hike is rated as moderate (2.7 miles 574 ft elevation gain) but it's on the easier side of moderate since it's not much distance. Great view from the top!

There is limited parking at the Intemann Trailhead so let's meet at Crystal Park Cantina so we can carpool the last couple miles up the hill.

The cantina after the hike is optional.
Dogs are allowed on a leash.
