Wednesday Morning Ride

Details

PLEASE NOTE NEW START TIME FOR THIS WEEK. THIS WILL ENABLE US TO VISIT SEVERAL OF THE RIDE TO WORK FOOD STOPS. See description below.

Newcomers are always welcomed for the first ride without paying CSCC membership dues. You will be asked to join if you show up for a second ride. You can join the CSCC at https://bikesprings.org/join-us

**ROUTE: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/51333342**

We will ride a relaxed pace with stops at several of the Ride To Work food stops. Please be at the start by 8:15 am so we can rollout promptly at 8:30 am. The first stop will be hosted by Urban Egg, either be in the parking lot at the Legacy Loop Plaza or by the Pop-Cycle bridge. We will decide at which stops along the route we will stop as we ride. We will be taking photos.

The Wednesday Morning Ride is an intermediate (10-14 mph), no-drop ride with catch-up points along the route. There may be a planned rest stop along the route, but we will have a “sweep” and will regroup as necessary to ensure no rider is left behind. The ride leader will publish a Ride with GPS link to the route the weekend before the ride with a start location. You can download a free version of the app from your phones app store.

We will ride 18-30 miles depending on weather and road conditions. Unless noted, we will leave from Legacy Plaza off the I-25 and Centennial exit and ride in different directions each week.

In order to participate in this event you must read the following in its entirety, read all updates posted in the comments thread, and respond promptly to all direct messages from the ride leader. You must also examine the route via the link for details on distance, surface and elevation profile.

Please arrive early enough to check your bikes ABC’s (air, brakes, chain) so we can roll out on time. You must bring a tire repair kit and spare tube to change a flat. Also a multi tool should be considered. It is your responsibility to have a working bike, dress appropriately for the weather, remain hydrated and to consume enough calories. Helmets must be worn whenever you are riding the bike.

If you plan to ride, please RSVP to let the ride leader and others know you will be there.

NOTE: With uncertain weather patterns, this ride may become a “show-n-go”. The leader will update the Meetup event as soon as possible. The group that does show agrees where to go together. Be prepared with a sign-sheet. Instructions for where to send it after the ride are at the bottom of the first page.
