## Beyond the Camera: Professional Camera Systems for Real-World Production
Join the Colorado Professional Videographers Association (CoPVA) for a special hands-on evening at MP&E Equipment Rental in Denver.
Tuesday, October 6, 2026
6:00–8:00 PM
MP&E Equipment Rental
4990 Paris Street, Denver, CO 80239
The camera body is only the beginning.
Nathan from MP&E will take us into their camera prep bays for an up-close look at how professional camera systems are configured for different types of real-world production. Rather than focusing simply on specs, we’ll explore why you might build the same camera differently for handheld, gimbal, tripod, documentary, corporate, event or cinema production.
We’ll work our way through several levels of professional camera systems, with anticipated cameras including Sony FX3, FX6 and FX9, Canon C300, and high-end Sony VENICE and ARRI systems. Equipment shown may vary based on MP&E’s rental inventory that day.
Along the way, we’ll talk about lenses, tripods and camera support, gimbals, monitoring, wireless video, power, recording media, cages, quick-release systems, follow focus and the other accessories that turn a camera body into a complete production system.
Whether you’re a working video professional, filmmaker, student, or simply someone who enjoys getting your hands on great production gear, this is an opportunity to see the equipment up close, ask questions, talk shop and connect with other Colorado production professionals.
