Announcing a new Meetup for The Colorado Volleyball & Coed Sports MeetUp Group!

When: Saturday, August 7,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Southmoor Park
Hampden and Oneida
Denver, CO 80237

Check out this big, grassy park in Southeast Denver, where we are switching from deKoevend just for this day.

Volleyball for different levels starting at noon, followed by swim and BBQ at Paul's house around 4 p.m.

We're out to have fun. After a few "mixed" games we'll have recreational play on some nets and intermediate play on others, depending upon the turnout. As always, we try to help the new players learn the ropes so let us know if you're new to the game or would like some tips. We do encourage everyone to do their best in trying to work as a team to get 3 hits on each side of the net (bump, set, spike), to stay out of the net and to follow the rule that the setter takes the second ball unless they call for help. This is not "jungle ball." This is not super competitive A level ball.

Please remember to contribute $2 or $3 for group costs and for beverages at the swim party. A collection Baggie will be attached to one of the nets.

Bring your own main course to cook. We'll provide munchies, soft drinks and beer. The party site is about half a mile from the park. Directions will be provided at the meetup.

Please advise in your RSVP if you can bring a net and/or ball.

WEATHER ALERT: If it looks like rain, we'll post an update here on the website.

Directions: Take Hampden east from I-25 about three blocks to Oneida and turn right (just in front of UMB). Park along Oneida, or drive a little farther on Oneida, turn left on Jarvis and park along Jarvis. Or go past Oneida on Hampden to Poplar, turn right (just past Walgreen's) and park on Poplar. You can't miss the nets down in the middle of the park.
