A Few Good People

Give back and meet new people this Fall! Come help construct two homes for Columbia residents. This volunteer opportunity is a 7-hour commitment occurring outside, rain or shine. If you need to leave earlier, you can. We need everyone’s help either to hand out waters and tools or contribute sweat and muscle work to putting the pieces together of this home. It’s a rewarding days work to see it come all together.

The address and logistics will be provided to those who register as volunteers on the Habitat for Humanity volunteer website.

Make new friends over fun board games! We will play board games that at least 4 people can play at one time. We might play as one big group or have 2 separate groups.

This is not D&D style games, but all are welcome. Feel free to bring your favorite games. Games will be available for group play.

I am still working on whether we'll provide snacks or not. This will be updated before the event.

Group will meet in the St. Andrews Brandon LaVar Byrd Meeting Room Parking free in the library parking lot.

Join us for pickleball!
All levels welcome -- I'm a beginner who needs some practice, so no judgement! We're happy to explain the rules and scoring; our goal is fun, friendly play.

Cost is $4/person to play -- they do take card. You will pay at the white building when you first enter.

Limiting the sign up to 14 people which would give us 2 courts playing at the same time and chance for rotating people in. Encouraged to bring a plus one if you have a partner you like to play with!

I have a second paddle that I will bring if anyone needs to borrow it. They also offer paddle rentals for an extra $3

*Courts are outdoor so I will update in the event chat if the courts are closed for weather as they sometime close due to rain or high winds.

**If you can no longer make it to the event, we will miss you! And please cancel your RSVP as soon as possible because we often have friends that are on the waitlist hoping to joining
