OK, I like true crime and such. The Killing Season is one summer in South LA journaled by a New York Times reporter. I enjoyed it.There are even pictures of the two murder detectives that are followed in the book.
The second is Chance and Necessity written by a Nobel prize winner who discoverd the mechanism of protein transcription from DNA. Points of it get a little bogged down.Essentially it is argued that we must change our basic value to accept that life came from chance, then changed according to necessity. To feel that man is the ultimate "predestined" life form shuts down being able to witness our constant evolution which in fact is still going on. Written by Jaques Monod.
The Power of Full Engagement shows how all four aspects of a person must be at thier best for us to pace our energy budget. Slight stress makes us acheive our best. What is missing in my view is how to help those that have restrictions in life that sap thier energy. People with immune disorders,or physical illness are not addressed in this "how to" manual.
THEATRE SHOW IN BALT mobtownplayers.com...6Dead Queens and an Inflatable Henry...History told by the wives of Henry V111 in accurate dress. Comedy in modern language, but the hiastory is accurate.
Thanks for the book into the wild info. I wonder what a herd of those wild things would look like crossing the road ! LOL!! :) Annette
