Description:

From the Greek word ambrotos, the ambrotype, a direct positive image created on glass, is the immortal image. With specimens over 160 years old and counting, the wet plate collodion process was one of the major photographic processes of the 19th century and has experienced an impressive revival over the past decade. Come listen to a brief history of wet plate collodion and learn about notable contemporary practitioners of this beautiful and versatile process with infinite possibilities!
