Pizza & a Movie: KLARA AND THE SUN at AMC Dublin + Revelry Tavern!

Join us as we get together to see the sci-fi/drama and our most highly anticipated book-to-film release this year, KLARA AND THE SUN! The film is directed by Taika Waititi and based on Kazuo Ishiguro's 2021 novel of the same name. It follows an obsolete companion android named Klara bonds with Josie, a sick girl for whom she was purchased. Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event:

DESCRIPTION: Klara is an Artificial Friend who wants nothing more than to find the perfect home. When Klara meets a sick girl named Josie, each immediately senses a kindred spirit in the other, and Klara’s innocent wonder and unwavering loyalty begin to heal the family and bring light to Josie's complicated world. The film is directed by Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit) and is based on Kazuo Ishiguro's 2021 novel of the same name. It stars Jenna Ortega, Amy Adams, Mia Tharia, Aran Murphy, Steve Buscemi and Natasha Lyonne.

BOOK TO FILM: Klara and the Sun is based on the novel of the same name by Nobel Prize-winning author Kazuo Ishiguro! One of my favorite recent reads, this story is in the best possible hands with director Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit)! The novel and film are set in a dystopian future and told through the eyes of an observant artificial companion. Whether you read the book, check out the film or both, I think we’re for a real treat with this moving and unforgettable tale!

REVELRY TAVERN: Revelry Tavern is known for great food, drinks, and is a fun place to get together before the show. Their menu offers something for everyone, including apps, salads, burgers, tacos, bowls (including a vegan bowl) for my choice when here, some great pizza.
