About us
Do you want to get out of the house, try new things, and have fun meeting other active friends your age? Come join us around Columbus for casual, unique and exciting events at the coolest venues in town.
Here's what the group offers:
- Activity - Our goal is to host at least 8 events per month, adding more as we discover more interests. Most of our events allow casual conversation in a fun environment. Even activities with music, games, or sports have social time built in.
- Social Outlet - No more excuses to be home and bored.
- Quality People - Members have to be approved. Singles and couples may join but you must have a membership with a current picture of yourself on your profile. Also, we charge a small yearly admin fee to help keep up with meetup fees and costs managing so many events. (Note: all new members get a 30 day free trial before fees are required)
- Friendship - Finding friends with common interests is encouraged. You must be in your 40s, 50s, or 60s to be a member of this Meetup.
As your organizer, I promise good communication and organized activities. In return, I ask that members keep their RSVPs current.

Distillery Tour and Tasting!
High Bank Distillery tours walk you through our story, our process, and a tasting of our spirits (and maybe a few in the works). We end in the Barrel Room for a wonderful tasting of their best sellers! The tours cost $10/person and we ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
4:30pm TOUR
5:30pm DRINKS & DINNER: We'll try a drink made with your favorite spirit you tasted on tour. We'll grab a bite to eat there, too.
PARKING: Street parking and Ohio Power Tool parking lot nearby.

Kentucky Derby Day!
Crooked Can Brewing Co., 5354 Center St, Hilliard, OH, USCount down to Derby! They have a fun filled day planned at Crooked Can. This event is so well-run and festive!

Feel free to come by earlier with your kids and grandkids for family fun til 4pm. Then some Fun n Games: 4-6pm Adult Horse Race Game & Beer Puppeteers.
Family Time: 1pm Kids Horse Craft; 2-4pm Wiener Dog Races (Excited to be having wiener dog races again. This is always a lot of fun for all. We will be having several heats and then a final competition. Must sign up ahead of time by emailing megan@crookedcanohio.com)
Setting: The Center Street Market is a locally owned and operated community market located in historic Old Hilliard that is open 7 days a week. Local products with multiple vendors that offer local food, natural, organic food, desserts, pastries, coffee and unique shopping all inside of one building. Gathering tables are indoors and outside on their huge patio! Anchored to the market is the Crooked Can Brewing Company, an on-site hand-crafted beer (plus cocktails, ciders, wine).25 attendees
Dinner and Music!
Pizza Cottage, 8753 Owenfield Dr, Powell, OH, USDINNER AND MUSIC! Pubs, breweries, and American eateries often host local bands playing popular hits, country, or rock offering a nice ambiance for socializing and diverse food and drink menus.
Tonight we'll check out TIPTON TAVERN (inside Pizza Cottage Lewis Center). Family-friendly casual pizzeria for pizzas plus salads, wings and subs. We'll meet in the bar area, where the live music is set up. You're welcome to stay late, if you like.
Tonight's band: Shucking Bubba Acoustic! Live music starts at 6pm.11 attendees- $10.00
