How to find us

This is located at the offices of the Murphy Company on their 3acre campus in downtown Columbus. Parking is in front. Street parking is available if the lot is full.

This will serve as an introduction to drone building for those interested in do it yourself drone building and maintenance or those just interested in learning how their flying machines work. This will be the first in a series of classes/meetups to learn and discuss about the building and maintenance. I have some volunteers lines up to present, but I could always use more for this meetup and future events

In addition we will talk about the new rules and how they apply to hobbyists and commercial operators.

We will be serving pizza for lunch. In addition after the formal portion is complete we should have time for some flying out back. Because we are in an area with high levels of RF interference we have been asked to not fly home built models here as they may (and in the past have malfunctioned and experienced) fly aways at this location.

Thanks to Loren Stone of the Murphy Company for sponsoring this event with the benefit of our meeting venue and the Tesla Foundation and UAV Systems Association who are helping to provide us with the latest tools to help us make the most of this emerging technology.
