A gathering of current and aspiring Data Science/ Analytics practitioners. We focus on practical applications of exploratory data analysis, statistics, machine learning and data visualization to solve interesting problems in any field. Our aim is to create a forum for discussing the techniques of data science and analytics, independent of the tools used for it. Meeting topics are varied and range from tutorials on basic concepts and their applications, to success stories from local practitioners, to discussions of tools, new programming languages, new technologies, and best practices. All are welcome -- to attend, to meet others, and to present their work!
Our Meetup is thankful for our in-person and online hosts: Startup Columbus and Aflac.
Data scientists wouldn't be the first to get "paralysis by analysis" when it comes to choices.
What about choosing what industry vertical you'd like to work in?
Join us as Marko Stamenic leads an in-depth "Career Corner" on the nuances of remote work in the post-pandemic era and how that affects data analytics roles.
Further, we will feature a panel of experienced data scientists and BI developers who've worked across a variety of fields, as they give their perspectives on transferrable skills, work-life balance, and subject matter expertise.
