Chat With Your App: MCP and Rails, A Powerful Pair
In this talk, we’ll talk about MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, what they do, and how they can help you as a developer and also help people who use your apps. We’ll go through setting up FastMCP and use some of the Tools we build with Claude Desktop to pull important information and generate interesting and useful graphs and data analysis, on the fly (demo deities willing)! You’ll see how they help you build apps faster using tidewave, and you’ll see how your users could get even more value out of the things you build, with very little effort on your part.

We are a bunch of professionals, students, and geeks who are excited about Ruby programming language (http://ruby-lang.org/) and Rails framework (http://rubyonrails.com/) and the joy they have brought back to web development. Our main goal is to share the love of the Ruby and Rails ecosystems with anyone that is interested. We cater to everyone, whether a non-programmer through advanced Rubyists.
We give lectures on programming topics
We develop and release Open Source software (https://github.com/columbusrb/)
