  • IMPROV YOUR LIFE (Via Zoom)

    Online event

Until we resume our face-to-face workshops, Improv your life, via ZOOM! Since we’re not meeting face-to-face and many of you expressed an interest in Zoom improv, I’ve been busy exploring how to give you a true improv experience using Zoom. I was skeptical at first, but after participating in several Zoom sessions, playing around on my own, then taking a wonderful course -exclusively for improv teachers using Zoom - I'm ready to launch! What does that mean? It means still having fun and being silly, but also using and building essential improv skills like listening, acceptance, creativity and collaboration. It also means building confidence, communication skills, teamwork and trust, all while social distancing! If you’re new to improv, don’t be afraid to join us --- stepping outside of your comfort zone can be very liberating and empowering. Although it’s a beginner class, we’ll also work on character and scene development. If you’ve never experienced Zoom improv, you may be pleasantly surprised. Using this online platform, we can easily participate in games and exercises together or in smaller groups. We’ll be able to see each other, “blackout” to give others our full attention “on stage,” or work with smaller breakout rooms to get maximal “stage time.” You're guaranteed to laugh, make friends, have fun, and reduce stress, all for the low price of less than $10/workshop in the series! Workshop Schedule for May Series: JULY Series: Thursdays July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 (5 sessions). AUGUST Series: Thursdays August 6, 13, 20, 27 (4 sessions) Time: 7:15 – 8:45 pm Capacity: 10/group Fee: July Series - 5, 1.5 hour workshops for $39 or $10/single session. Payment: Venmo Nancy @Nancy-Follis, to register Requirements: Use of a desktop or laptop (best) or large tablet (OK) Email access to receive Zoom link and join the group Instructor: Nancy Follis, Ed.M. Questions: Please feel free to reach out to me on MeetUp. Registration: Open until 4:30 pm the day of the meeting if there's still open spots. Once paid, link will be sent to your personal email.
