Kayak, Canoe, SUP D&R Canal – Griggstown to Ten Mile Run Spillway

Okaaaay… it’s summer once again and time to do some paddling! So, let’s begin this season with the D&R Canal between Griggstown and Ten Mile Run Spillway (2 hrs. roundtrip). Afterwards, we can refresh with some suds and eats just down the road at The Tiger’s Tale in Skillman where they serve up a full lobster meal for just $19.99!

We’ll meet up at the Griggstown Canoe and Kayak Rental where we can launch AND, anyone who needs to, can rent a kayak or canoe (paddle boards are not available). There is plenty of parking available on the premises.

As safety measures, bring a BYD (life vest) – available with rentals – and a whistle. Also, please note that this is NOT a training or instructional event. All participants must have some basic experience and familiarity with the equipment.

We want to be in the water and paddling by 1:00, so, anyone who intends to rent a kayak or canoe or to use an INFLATABLE kayak or paddle board must arrive by 12:30 (best to arrive even earlier) to rent or inflate her/his watercraft and be ready to go at 1:00.

As always, attendance at this and all other Meetup events, is at the risk of the attendee who waives all rights to hold any and all event hosts, organizers and leaders liable for any injury, loss or damage sustained in the event of any accident or mishap.
