For comic book and graphic novel artists and writers who want to improve their craft, network with each other and possibly collaborate. There will be an emphasis on programs wherein we get work done and published with members supporting each other and holding ourselves accountable to our goals.

Executive editor of the long-running Heavy Metal Magazine, Joe Illidge, will talk about his work, his career and his insights into working in the comics industry. He will also be taking questions.
Joe's career has spanned most of the top companies in Comics publishing: Milestone Media, DC Comics, Valiant, Lion Forge, A Wave Blue World, Scout and more. He was series editor on Batman and is a New York Times best selling author. He is the writer of "THE REN", a graphic novel about a love affair between Black teenage artists during the height of the Harlem Renaissance, to be published by First Second Books, a division of Macmillan.
