What we’re about
OUR MISSION: We bring together active and outdoorsy young professionals (mid-20s thru early 40s) in Denver to volunteer, make friends and impact our local community.
We believe that the best type of change happens when we focus locally to solve the problems right around us. We also believe that it should be easier to find fun and interesting volunteer opportunities, because people want to give back but don’t always know where to turn. And what better way to get to know people than by doing some good together?
We have two core areas of focus:
- Food and Farming - because eating locally grown food is something we care about
- Outdoor Stewardship - because our trails, parks and public lands need our love, not just our recreation
How Can You Be Part of the Community?
We rally our members to support great local nonprofits doing important work in our community. We have a few core organizations we partner with over time, but we’re always adding more as we grow. And we strive to make this a fun, laid-back, and inspiring experience for everyone who attends!
Join us for an upcoming volunteer project or fundraising initiative, and you’ll learn firsthand what these changemakers are doing around the Denver Metro. We rotate when and where these events take place, mostly driven by the needs of our partner organizations (and potential powder days, of course).
We also make it easy for members of our group to get together for other outdoor activities, from run clubs to hiking excursions and much more. It’s not just about volunteering, it’s about building a community!
There’s no fee to join or other strings attached. We simply ask that you only sign up when you plan to show up, because no-shows really put a damper on a great volunteer experience. Occasionally, our events do have a “ticket cost” if we are incurring any expenses for the project or have something special planned, like breakfast or lunch. This will be noted in the description.

Community Bucket is teaming up on Sunday, September 7th with Groundwork Denver and Denver Parks and Rec. Groundwork Denver partners with youth and community to build a healthy, equitable, and sustainable environment. As always, it's a chance to meet like-minded peers and give back to our community at the same time.
We will be joining others in a citizen science project to ID plants and wildlife data that supports real science and action! We will be wandering through the park while taking photos on our phones through the iNaturalist phone app. Coffee, breakfast burritos, and light snacks will be provided. Please bring your filled, reusable water bottles.
Once volunteering concludes at 11am, we will head to ZOMO for a lunch and social! Details to come.
