Join us for Walk+Connect: a casual meetup where walking and talking go hand-in-hand. Whether you're new in town, looking to unwind, or just want to connect with people in a low-key setting, this is the space for you. All ages welcome, so bring your friends, family and your fuzzy companions along!

Parking is free. We’ll meet at the tables in front of the Great Park Visitor Center at 4:00 PM, take a few minutes to say hi, then start walking at 4:15 PM along the walkable historical timeline. Along the way, we’ll circle around the lake -- you might even spot some (or lots of) ducks gliding by as the sun sets!

[BONUS] Share small challenges or ideas you’d love to see solved in daily life or work! We’ll collect these anonymously, and you may inspire projects at our upcoming Solve-a-Thon in 2026, where local students and community innovators turn real-world problems into creative solutions.

This hybrid workshop is designed for everyone, especially those who are curious about artificial intelligence but do not consider themselves tech savvy! If you know how to use a mouse, you have all the skills you need for this workshop. We will walk you through each part of the process with simple, clear instructions.

The session will introduce AI privacy, the basic ideas behind how tools like ChatGPT work, and provide easy step by step guidance on installing and using Ollama so you can run AI locally on your own laptop. No coding, no advanced setup, and no technical background required.

You are welcome to drop in at any time during the event. There will be a friendly open Q&A panel where you can ask anything about AI, privacy, or local tools at your own pace.

Whether you are a complete beginner or just looking to understand AI in a simpler way, this workshop will offer clear explanations, hands on demonstrations, and practical support to help you confidently set up and use your own private AI system.
