This Month: DeLaveaga Park!

Saturday, February 21st, gather at 10:45am

This one time you DO take the main entrance to the park!

Directions: From Southbound 17, or Northbound Highway 1, take the Ocean St. Exit towards the Beaches. Turn left on to Water Street and then left again onto Market. Take Market up, pass underneath Highway 1, and ta-da! the road magically changes to Branciforte Drive. The park entrance will be on the right. Total mileage from the intersection of Market and Water to DeLaveaga is 1.7 miles. Meet at the former volleyball courts next to the softball diamond.

Bring water and a snack to share. Masks are encouraged, but not mandatory.

We walk in silence on the way in - doing so brings Nature so much closer to us, as we take in not only the sights, but the sounds and even smells of a nice country walk.

At a turnaround spot we will rest and share food.

Then we gab like magpies all the way back. It's always a great time.
