Welcome to Community Sing Circle! Your go-to group for uplifting, inclusive singing gatherings on Sydney’s Northern Beaches!
We’re a community initiative creating a warm, alcohol-free space where people of all ages, from kids and families, teens to young adults, to adults and seniors, can all come together to sing, connect, learn and unwind through the power of shared music.
Inspired by cozy campfire singalongs, kirtan-style circles and community choirs, our events aren’t about perfect performances or auditions. They’re guided, participatory experiences focused on how singing feels whilst building confidence, exploring harmonies and rhythms and fostering real connections in a safe, supportive environment. No prior experience needed. Just bring your voice (and optional acoustic instruments like guitars or ukuleles or hand drums ect if you play confidently – we’ll weave them in seamlessly!).
Our inaugural event in March features incredible collaborators:
• Ali Skiba, the breathwork and sound healer who wowed on The Voice Australia, guiding the musical flow with voice activation and music as medicine.
• Lewis Mackenzie, a multi-instrumentalist pianist emphasising creativity and self-expression.
• Cassie Wallis, a dance and voice teacher helping you embody the joy through gentle movement.
Plus, enjoy a delicious whole-food veggie-based buffet dinner curated by Jeevi Ramtel (The Laughing Chef), Sydney’s plant-based pioneer, designed to spark conversations and nourish the soul.
Hosted at welcoming venues like The Good Humans event space in Brookvale, we’re aligned with local non-profits like The Women’s Resilience Centre, Mowana Safe Space, and Acts of Kindness. We’re all about combating isolation, supporting mental health and building resilience through arts and togetherness.
Join us every 6-8 weeks for meaningful reconnections that leave you energised and inspired. Whether you’re flying solo, with friends, or family, this is your space to embrace performing arts, celebrate collaboration and feel truly connected. Let’s sing our way to stronger communities. See you at the next circle!

What to Expect:
We’re creating a relaxed vibe inspired by campfire singalongs, kirtan-style circles, and community choirs. Think guided, participatory fun without any auditions, pressure, or performance expectations. Our experienced facilitators will lead you through:
• Extended vocal warm-ups and simple techniques to help you sing in tune, explore harmonies and rhythms and blend with the group – focusing on how it feels rather than perfect sound.
• Guitar-led communal singing of familiar songs, weaving in breathwork and voice activation for that uplifting, energetic flow.
• Gentle movement and embodiment exercises to help you feel at home in your body and voice.
• A delicious whole-food veggie-based buffet dinner curated by Jeevi Ramtel, aka The Laughing Chef – Sydney’s plant-based pioneer turning wholesome eats into pure joy. This shared meal is all about sparking conversations and deepening bonds over nourishing food.
Our stellar collaborators bring the magic:
• Ali Skiba: Sydney singer, breathwork facilitator, and sound healer who captivated audiences on The Voice Australia in 2023 – she’ll guide the musical and energetic arc with music as a healing modality.
• Lewis Mackenzie: Pianist and multi-instrumentalist music educator focused on self-expression, creativity, and connection.
• Cassie Wallis: Longtime dance and voice teacher with a gentle, confidence-building approach.
Hosted at The Good Humans event space in Brookvale (event space founded by former musician Jye Calder for low-pressure connection spaces), this event aligns with local non-profits like The Women’s Resilience Centre (supporting trauma recovery), Mowana Safe Space (for emotional distress), and Acts of Kindness (food rescue for hardship).
It’s more than a night out! It’s a step toward stronger community ties, leaving you feeling confident, connected, and energised!
What to Bring:
• Your voice and positive energy (that’s all you need!).
• Optional: Acoustic instruments like guitars, ukuleles, hand percussion, or other portables if you play confidently – our leaders will curate them into the mix.
• Comfortable clothing for light movement. • Cushions and blankets for comfortable seating
• An open mind for new connections – families, couples, friends and solos are all welcome!
