Raise and weave your voice in a community song circle/ informal harmony workshop celebrating Hope and resilience. Easy-to-learn, harmony-rich songs and chants that lift the heart and soul, taught by call and response in the oral tradition, with song leader Sylvia Humble. April Laurie brings a splash of fun, accessible improvised circle singing and groovy percussion. Move with the syncopated rhythms and sink into the blissful sound.
All voices belong, regardless of background – it’s about joy and connection, not perfection.
We will have a break for ginger tea so please bring a mug ; feel for you to step out onto Departure Bay Beach or the park beside us!
This waterfront community hall has history, great energy, and marvellous acoustics for singing! Parking is limited on the access road to Kin Hut, so please arrive early and/or park on one of the side streets across the road from the beach.
