Ohio Townhall: The voice of Ohio Working Families

Details
Attend this local townhall meeting being held by Indivisible and Coffee, Compassion, Action!.
From Coffee, Compassion, Action!: So you heard about the BBB, but don't know how those cuts will affect your family? You have been trying to contact your Representatives, but they are ignoring you. Join us for a town hall, make your voice heard and find out how you can get activated in Ohio. Bring a friend or two. Let's make Ohio voices heard!
From Indivisible:
Coffee. Compassion. Action is hosting Ohio Townhalls. Ohio Townhalls will give you a chance to: 1) hear Ohioans speak about their personal experiences with executive overreach at the state and local level, 2) listen to political leaders or local organizers discuss ways to fight current executive overreach affecting Ohio's Working Families, and 3) provide you with opportunities to advocate for yourself/family and/or for marginalized people in Cincinnati and the surrounding Tristate areas.
Join us August 12, for the first of a series of town halls: the Ohio Townhalls. These town halls will include speakers who will inspire and inform you about local and national politics affecting you now or in the near future. Want to volunteer or get involved, but just don't know how? Ohio Townhalls will show you how to make a difference in your local community and give you several clear paths to advocacy, volunteering or steer you into a local organization where you can get active.
Speakers are not finalized, but every effort to contact and get Senators Moreno and Husted to attend will be made. Congress is in recess the month of August, so our Ohio Senators should be able to attend. I will update you via email on the confirmed speakers, confirmed organizations that will be present and send you a firm agenda closer to the Ohio Townhall date.
This a local Indivisible event!
Please consider carpooling; this event has dedicated parking, but it will be quite popular, so this parking may be insufficient.
A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
Event is free and open to the public. RSVP here so they have a estimated head count.
