August Monthly Meeting:New US Citizen Ina Kratzch Talks Citizenship & Fascism

Details
Come Congratulate Ina Kratzcsh on her new status as American Citizen. Ina (EENA) hails from Germany and came to Ohio for a job in 1998. 27 years later, she has become a US citizen.
First, as a new citizen, she feels she has a duty to educate her fellow Americans about the dangers of fascism. Growing up in Germany, she saw remnants of the Holocaust her entire life. On her recent visit home, she toured the concentration camp Sachsenhausen and feels it is her responsibility to share her experience as a warning to all Americans. An amazing amateur photographer, Ina will share photos of her trip home and remind us what can happen if power is unchecked. She will talk about her visit there and about her own family’s connection to the camp.
The second half of the meeting will have a more joyful note as Ina then ends by sharing her journey from immigrant to citizen. Come hear a real life perspective on the immigrant experience and ask questions about the process.
Please join us for this event important event at the Madeira Library at 3:30 pm at 7200 Miami Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45243 .
We can grab dinner nearby after the meeting if folks would like.
