For nearly four decades, the Winton Lake Community Cleanup has stood as one of Great Parks’ most enduring traditions. Beginning in 1988, this large-scale volunteer effort has brought thousands of community members together through the years to protect one of Hamilton County’s most beloved waterways. What started as a small, local initiative has grown into a signature Earth Month celebration that strengthens habitats, builds community and contributes to a long-standing conservation legacy.

Volunteers are organized into teams and assigned to cleanup locations around the lake, allowing everyone to make a meaningful impact across its shoreline, tributary streams and other natural areas impacted by flooding.

Participants receive their location assignment and a map 48 hours before the cleanup. An information tent is also available upon arrival.
