##
Along with all the usual exhibits there is a special exhibit going on now:
Declarative Acts and Revolutionary Actors features objects that fueled the revolution and unsung heroes who made independence possible. The exhibition showcases national treasures from Cincinnati Museum Center’s collections, including an original timber and chain from pre-Cincinnati’s Fort Washington, the regimental flag of the 1st Pennsylvania Battalion – one of just 30 Revolutionary War flags still in existence – and the document that united a nation, the Declaration of Independence. Cincinnati Museum Center’s Holt Broadside of the Declaration of Independence, dated July 9, 1776, is one of just five known to have endured the past 250 years.
Because of its extreme scarcity and light sensitivity, it is typically kept in secure, climate-controlled archival. It will only be on display from July 3rd until August 23rd.
If not a member, tickets are $25.00 for adults, $17.50 60+ & kids. If you have a Hamilton County library card, you can also get free passes using the Discovery Pass.
Tickets Includes admission to Children's Museum, Museum of Natural History & Science, and Cincinnati History Museum.
Well go to eat afterward. Restaurant TBD.
