Katy Trail Day Trip Sept. 25

Laurel and I will be leading a group on a day trip along the Katy Trail to the Sedalia train depot. We did this trip last fall and it was great fun. Meet at the Pilot Grove Trailhead @ 9am and we will take off from there. Mileage 1 way is 23.8, so a total distance of 47.6. We will make stops along the way, so bring your own snacks and water. We will also ride into Sedalia for lunch, so be prepared to ride on city streets and bring your own locks.
Between Pilot Grove and Sedalia, there is a trailhead @ Clifton City with bathrooms (like McBaine), then there is Beaman. There is a C-store along our pathway as well. Otherwise, you are out in the country.
We will return to Pilot Grove no later than 6pm, I would imagine, if not before then.
As usual, please be on time and ready to ride.

Bring: water, snacks, bike locks, spare tube and tools for repair. And your lunch money.

****The address below is for the city park in Pilot Grove, so you may need to fine tune your driving directions. The trailhead is near the Katy Manor nursing center in town.

If bad weather cancellations will be given 24 hours in advance. Rain date will be Sept. 26.
