Tuesday evening trail ride

Come join us for another trail ride on Tuesday evening. This time we will ride along the MU Rec, Hinkson Creek and Grindstone trails. Daylight is waning, so we will make it an easy ride without car traffic.
Meetup at MLK Gardens on Stadium Blvd. We will ride from there to the MU Rec Trail to the Hinkson Creek Trail and on to the Grindstone Trail. We will ride the Grindstone out to Macguire Blvd, then turn around and head back to start. This will be a combination of trail and pavement rides. Bathrooms/water are at the Grindstone trailhead.

This trail does have some blind curves around the Old Route K turn, under Rock Quarry Road and a couple of others. So if you have a bell, ring it around these curves. I almost crashed into someone around Old Route K the other day, if not for my bell. There are also 2 chronic trouble spots along the MU Rec Trail. One just before you turn away from the experimental crop field--it's a major hole in the trail. Another is just after you turn right, away from the field--it is usually wet and muddy. So stay right or left of that mess in the middle.

I will plan 2 stops along the way, but we need to make time along our ride to get back to start before sunset.
