Burr Oak Bike Ride

Join us for the last Two-Wheeled Tuesday Bike Ride held on a Tuesday this season. (Future TWT rides will be on weekends). Meet us at the Jay Dix Station playground at 3725 South Scott Blvd., Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 5:00 pm. Note this time is one hour earlier than our usual starts.
We will do an out-and-back ride on the MKT and Katy trails and Burr Oak Road to the “Big Tree” near McBaine. The Big Tree is nearly 400-years-old, stands as the largest burr oak in Missouri, and is tied for the largest in the United States. If you want to pick up a few acorns and plant them in your yard go for it. Helmets are highly recommended. We will ride at an average of 10-12 mph. No one is left behind and we will have a sweep.
