Recovery-based techniques addressing the issues of Complex Trauma

Details
The purpose of the meet-up is to focus on RECOVERY from complex trauma expression and to claim our individuality by being responsible for our own well-being. With dedication, sincerity, and honesty, a "foundational self" is built through interaction with others who are on the same path, who understand deeply, are willing to share, and have taken the action to alleviate trauma's devastating ability to destroy a human being and infect others. This is crucial in lessening the effects of this common peril in our relationships outside of the safety of the room.
Complex trauma expression takes many forms, most of which are hidden from our sight as it's perceived by a traumatized person as "the only normal life", and getting clarity on those things is preliminary to any forward motion out of the expression showing up in our personalities seemingly on it's own power.
We believe that PTSD is NOT a permanent brain injury, and science has proved out the wonderful recuperative agency of that most amazing organ beyond a shadow of a doubt. The job becomes to find the tools that custom fit each person in a multi-modality application that will address the various avenues comprising the "spider-web" of the expression.
The meet-up provides a wealth of the latest in trauma research by the "pros" and the "alternative communities", allowing an exploration into the heart of the problem, and what is being offered for recovery practices, techniques, and therapies. We also have a core of dedicated, knowledgeable members who are willing to share their wisdom, strength and experience in recovery and what works for them. In this "gold-nugget" mining from others lies the opportunity to discover our "true selves" and to practice nurturing self-care in a healthy, productive, and positive movement, that while not pleasant at first, has it's rewards in lasting meaning and change.
Provided are "bullet-point boil-downs" of comparisons between other "disorders" delineating the differences between PTSD, C-PTSD, BPD, NPD, ASPD, BP.. Also accessible are papers designed to efficiently disseminate valuable information regarding complex trauma expression recovery without having to spend 10,000 hours required to become an "expert" in order to understand what's going on. Helpful "alarm bells" are outlined in both articles on what recovery looks like, and what the dangers are in the actual recovery process. More research and information-gathering is going on all the time, and members are encouraged to share their own investigations at the meet-up.
Since a dramatic "re-hashing" of traumatic events over and over is NOT helpful to the sufferer nor to the listeners, this is avoided in favour of concentrating on the recovery aspects that ameliorate the need to ruminate and replace it with an excitement for the benefits of doing things differently. Sincere emotions, fears, and struggles can be shared without a "re-living" of traumatic events in graphic detail to help heal the wounding.
