We will extend the hike 3+ miles (plus an hour or so) with an out & back to the magestic candleabra tree.

This is an incredible loop around Butano State Park, starting with Six Bridges Trail, up Doe Ridge and Indian Trail and back by way of Canyon Trail. We will travel over a variety of terrains, all spectacular in their own way.

Our route on AllTrails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/six-bridges-trail-to-canyon-trail-loop plus a extension to the candleabra tree.

Beautiful and challenging: With the rains, the trails might be a bit overgrown with possible downed trees to climb over and slides to carefully traverse. There are some narrow sections. The steepest climb is upfront, with enough up and downs to make it interesting throughout. The reward is several breathtaking views. There is some poison oak and maybe ticks - dress and prepare accordingly.

Start together, stay together: We'll hike at a brisk pace around 2.7 to 3 miles per hour, pausing at trail junctions so that we stay together. There will be a mix of shade and exposed trails. Remember water, sun protection for those exposed sections, layers, and anything else that you like for your hikes. We'll break mid-way for a snack/quick lunch. If you have never hiked with me, are unsure of the pace, or have any questions, please contact me by direct message.

Fees and Facillities: $10 parking unless you have a state park pass. There are pit toilets at the start.
