About us

This is not about intense competition or perfect skills. We meet locally to explore parks with a map and compass, learning navigation at our own pace. If you like the idea of being outside with real people who enjoy simple adventures, this is for you.

I started this group because I love how orienteering brings people together without forcing conversation. Whether you are new or a regular, you’ll find your place here. Real people, real events, real connections we’ve built something quiet but meaningful. You don’t need experience. Just comfortable shoes and curiosity.

Our events fit easily into a week, lasting about an hour or two. We navigate short routes, help each other read the terrain, and often end up chatting over coffee. The mix of people is different every time students, parents, retirees but we all share that interest in being outside and figuring things out together. There’s a calm ease in the group, like you’ve known everyone a little longer than you have.

At your first event, we’ll greet you, hand you a map, and walk through the basics. You’ll leave with a quiet sense of accomplishment and maybe a new person you’d like to meet again. If you like parks, fresh air, and connecting without pressure, you’ll feel at home here.
