We're meeting up to unpack and discuss Matt Haig's celebrated The Midnight Library with a welcoming mix of avid and occasional readers, and a good chat is guaranteed.

There is no agenda to follow — with every reader given room to share what mattered to them, and every reading of the same book turns out to be a different book.

Any amount of reading is welcome, and bring along your favourite passages, and bring your feelings about it — because the book looks completely different through a new set of eyes.

Whether you are a regular or joining for the first time — and the group tends to make first-timers feel at ease very quickly, the only requirement is showing up ready to talk, and first-timers rarely feel like first-timers for long.

• Everyone finds a seat and the discussion opens whenever the group is ready
• Discussion opens with an initial question and flows from there without a set agenda
• The evening finishes with a discussion about what to read next
