Lake Waramaug Bike and Paddle event

Details

This is our first paddle event of the season. We will first start our day biking around the very scenic Waramaug Lake. The bike ride will be 26 miles with 1500' of elevation gain. 7% of this ride will be on gravel and 93% of this ride will be paved. The rest of the ride features very scenic back country roads with very low traffic. The pace of the ride will be 12-14 mph going faster of the flats and slower on the hills.
E-bikes are welcome.
Meet at 9:30 and be prepared to roll at 10:00 sharp!
Please make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks to get you through the ride. Also, bring extra tubes and supplies to deal with any mechanical issues you might have.
This is not a no drop ride, so make sure you download the route if you can't keep the pace. We will regroup at the top of hills.

After the ride, bring a lawn or beach chair and lunch for fellowship with your fellow riders. We will have lunch at the beach front of Lake Waramaug State Park.
At 2:00 we will start our paddle around Lake Waramaug. Feel free to bring a kayak or a paddle board. We will paddle for 6 miles around the lake at a pace of 20 minute miles. If you can't paddle that fast then cut your route a little shorter.
After the paddle join us in Litchfield for ice cream at Arethusa!
Free free to join the bike ride or the paddle or both!
