Thoughtful Tuesdays - Biweekly Journaling Group

Details

For this event, we'll be doing stream of consciousness journaling. No prompt. It's about writing down whatever thoughts and feelings come to mind. It's one of the best exercises to find a sense of mental clarity.

This free biweekly journaling group is designed for people to reflect on their life, think about where they’re headed, and crystallize the thoughts and ideas that often appear in their heads in a casual and laid-back environment.

We'll be meeting at Tonic Alchemy Lounge! It's a cozy, intimate space with a wide variety of tea, kava, tonics, desserts, and cocktails available.

Journaling is something I’ve heard a lot of people say, I love doing it, but I haven’t done it in a while.

Writing is a great way to ponder and process deeper questions that need more time. Sharing within a group is a powerful way to relate to others while fostering connection.

As we hear about the decisions, challenges, and successes of others, we learn about ourselves as we make pieces of their stories our own.

General format

  • Writing warm-up
  • 1 - 2 prompts on one theme
  • Sharing and discussion after each prompt
  • After the event is over, some of us hang out and chat

Bring a journal and a pen!!

Experienced journalers, those who want to get back into it, or first-time journalers are welcome. Sharing is encouraged but not required. Sometimes we’ll share with the group or in pairs.

"When we come together and share our stories, it expands our notion of what is possible. It changes the person telling the story, it changes whoever is listening to the story, and it changes how we understand our own story." Al-Jen Pod

Your facilitator:

Kamil is a certified life, leadership, and career exploration coach that helps people and leaders step into their authentic selves. Through his late twenties, Kamil lived a life primarily determined by the environment he grew up in and society's expectations. He fit the mold. It wasn't until he spent four years backpacking around the world, trying on different versions of himself and exploring different perspectives, that he felt empowered to pursue a life uniquely him. When Kamil shifted to helping others, he helped scale leadership development within organizations before moving to deeper one-on-one coaching relationships with his company and leadership coaching at CU Boulder. In his free time, Kamil is an introspective bookworm who spends time in nature without cellphone service, running ultramarathons, backpacking, or bikepacking. www.kamilskwarek.com
