Ever feel like you’ve been "hijacked" by an emotion in the middle of a conversation?

One minute you’re discussing a project or a household chore, and the next, your heart is racing, your logic is offline, and you’re stuck in "fight or flight."

Join us for a workshop including a discussion and active practice where we decode the invisible engine driving every interaction: Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

We aren't just talking about "being nice." We are digging into the mechanics of how emotions work using tools from two powerhouses: Crucial Conversations and Nonviolent Communication (NVC).

In this session, we will:

  • Debug Your "Path to Action": Learn to catch the split-second spark where a "Story" turns into a "Feeling" (and how to interrupt it).
  • Expand Your Emotional Vocabulary: Move beyond "mad" or "sad" to identify the subtle emotional data you’re missing.
  • Read the "Other": Practice stepping out of your own head to accurately perceive what the other person is feeling—the superpower of empathy.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your inner work, come ready to learn, practice, and connect.

(** NEW LOCATION ** - We will be meeting at the Corky Gonzales Branch Library in Denver)
