A meditative evening combining Cacao and Sound Therapy
An event by 'Marlborough Wellbeing' Heartfelt events by Alison and Alex.
Combining Cacao with a Sound Bath, this offering is an invitation to join us for a deeply relaxing and meditative evening, designed to bring inner peace, balance and self connection.
Cacao is a sacred plant medicine, revered for its many nourishing and heart-opening qualities. It gently grounds us while inviting us into a more creative and expansive state of being, helping us to connect with our higher selves, deepen our intuition, and realign with our natural vibration. Our ceremonial-grade cacao is lovingly and ethically sourced, bringing warmth, depth, and intention to our gatherings and our own personal journeys. Each cup offers an opportunity to slow down, open the heart, and connect more deeply—with ourselves, with one another, and with the present moment.
Sound Therapy & Sound Baths
Let yourself be transported to a deeper state of relaxation as we take you on a journey using handpan, drum, shruti, singing bowls, gong, vocals and percussion. Using a particular method of playing, Sound Therapy can influence brainwaves and enable us to enter altered states of consciousness (ASC). This can bring benefits such as an improvement in our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing , reduced depression and anxiety and better sleep. Sound Therapy can allow us to release physical, emotional and mental tension, and help us to move back into balance.
WHERE
St Mary's Church Hall, Marlborough. The main hall is accessed through the gates in Silverless Street and then through the double wooden doors
PLEASE BRING
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a water bottle, mat, cushion, eye pillow and anything else that will help you feel comfy.
Alison - Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy is run by Alison Heaslewood who qualified in Sound and Movement Therapy with the British Academy of Sound Therapy. She is also the founder of Ecstatic Dance Berkshire.
Following a five year episode of chronic pain in her twenties and a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, she turned to alternative methods of healing, including Sound Therapy. Along with sound, movement was instrumental in her full recovery. She has been supported on her spiritual path by cacao, meditation and connecting to nature, and has been continually called to explore deep practices of surrender and awareness.
With five years vocal training she has discovered the power of the voice to heal and brings soothing vocals into her sound sessions along with other percussion.
She creates nurturing, relaxing and safely held spaces for anyone seeking a space to Just BE.
