Mantras (Similar to Kirtan) Chanting and Sound Bath
Join Alex and Alison for Harmoni'Om - where sound becomes a living, breathing vortex.
Through sacred mantra singing, a deeply held space is created for our voices to become one soundwave. No experience is needed. Come as you are, and allow yourself to be held in the calm, collective rhythm of sound and stillness. There is no 'good' or 'bad' singing, just your own unique sound.
You're invited to settle into this gentle space, as we weave our sounds together to the harmonium and other instruments, and gradually move into an “ocean of Oms,” where voices blend together (both harmoniously and with natural dissonance) into a soothing, meditative hum.
The evening will unfold into a short sound bath with handpan, crystal bowls, flute and other instruments, inviting you to stay connected to the peace within and move into deep rest.
We’ll close the gathering with some time to share tea and make connections, offering a moment to integrate, connect, and Just BE.
CHILDREN: Children are welcome (free). Due to the nature of this event, we welcome children who are able to join the event fully and sit and lay in circle with us for the singing and the sound bath.
WHERE: Forest Park Community Centre. There is parking outside this venue.
PLEASE BRING: Yoga mat, blanket and cushion/pillow to sit on. You may like to bring an eye mask if you have one, and a bolster for under your knees. Wear comfy clothes. Water or a herbal tea is also advised.
