UPLIFT: Lesbian++ Community Village Coming Together For Inner Peace

It's rough in the world right now. We all feel it. And as lesbian and queer people, we are a global village uniquely able to support each other. This free community event is a chance to come together to build our physical, mental, emotional coping capacity in an embracing, conscious, compassionate lesbian and queer group.

This event is co-sponsored by two large lesbian++ communities based in the U.S., but with many international members. All lesbians, queer women and adjacent non-binary people are welcome, from longtime lesbians to just coming out, and everything in between. We always have many attendees age 50+.

The Conscious Girlfriend Academy is an intelligent, compassionate learning community for lesbians++ and adjacent queer women and non-binary people. All Academy events are based on a foundation of cultivating consciousness, compassion and curiosity. We've got classes, groups, skill-building opportunities, a group for conscious lesbian elders, and much more.

We're acutely aware of the devastating events happening in the Middle East right now. They are the backdrop for this event, and they live inside us. We are here to cultivate love without political conversations here tonight (though those conversations are necessary and important for many of us, too, they are just not what we're here for tonight.)

Throughout the evening, we will share meditations, blessings, coping strategies, compassion, maybe even some singing, poetry and movement along with other tools, and do some breakout rooms to get to chat with each other in small groups. At the end we will leave the zoom room open for those who want to keep connecting.
