Let’s gather for a powerful summer night at Great Park Live featuring Melissa Etheridge and Wynonna Judd—two legendary artists sharing the stage. This is one of those rare shows where you get a full dose of both performers, each bringing their own unmistakable sound and presence.
Expect a mix of rock, soul, and country, along with the kind of songs you’ve likely known for years. It’s the kind of evening that invites you to sing along, sway a little, and just enjoy being part of something collective and alive.

A trendy Mexican restaurant with an upbeat atmosphere and easy shareable food—perfect for mingling before the show.

If it is anything like the last concert there, our group was dancing in the back most of the time!

A Little Bit of Everything Dance!

How is this for an idea to please everyone's musical tastes?? When you RSVP, you submit your favorite dance song. Everyone's got that special song that makes them light up on the dancefloor, right? I will compile them all and create a dance list! If you must submit two, then go for it.

There are a few special birthdays close to this date so let's celebrate two special women who have made it around the globe many times and everyone else born in the month of July.

Yes, there will be cake!
If you want to be sure to have a table or bar seat, please come early

This is a community event and therefore there is a small entrance cost of $10 charge to go towards meetup dues and equipment costs. Hopefully, our attendance will be amazing and we will raise enough to purchase a better speaker for this event so the sound will be fantastic for this and future dances!

WHAT MAKES OUR DANCES SPECIAL? I will lead a fun group dance and/or intro game at 7pm. You won't want to miss that. I hope you don't miss out, particularly if you are single and/or coming alone.
We will also have nametags making it easer to remember one another.

FEEL FREE TO COME ALONE BECAUSE YOU WON'T BE FOR LONG!

SCHEDULE:
6-7 Line Dancing led by great dancers-no experience necessary!
7 Wild, Wild West group dance and/or intro game
7:30-11 Dance to our hearts content

I would LOVE and APPRECIATE a few volunteers to rotate throughout the night at the front greeting people, giving out nametags and checking people off the list or collecting $10/person. WE'RE GETTING OUR CULTURE ON! Let's go to this award winning production Jagged Little Pill @ my favorite local theater, The Chance. It is owned by an ally whose mother is also a member of SMWSLT! I have seen many plays there before and have found that they particularly excel in musicals!

If they are sold out on the LG site, you can still go directly through the box office and say you are with Jody's meetup group to see if you can still get the group 30% discount. Don't pay attention to the RSVP count here on meetup to determine whether there are tickets left with our group because some people may have signed up and are coming separately with friends.

The 1995 Jagged Little Pill album is highly autobiographical, written in real-time based on Alanis Morissette's journals, personal pain, and feelings of betrayal. However, the Broadway musical of the same name is not a biography; it uses her songs to tell a fictional story about a dysfunctional Connecticut family.
