- Dinah Legends Weekend in Palm Springs - We have our own hotel!
Come on down to Palm Springs this weekend! I'm sorry to say that the Friday party, pickleball tourney and Saturday night concert are sold out.
Book your room asap at The Infusions Beach Club. YOU MUST CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY TO BOOK AT[masked]. Say you are with meetup, Jody or Corday
There are activities going on all weekend AND anyone staying at our hotel will get use of the pool the whole weekend all the way up till 6pm on Sunday. All you have to do is check out of your room. We will be gathered at the pool on Saturday afternoon after the pickleball tournament and Sunday after brunch.
We will not have a bar at the pool this year but if we love this place like I think we will, next year we're on! That means, bring your ice chest with you and lets play games like corn hole, giant Jenga, ladder golf and whatever else anyone wants to bring. The pool area is large with cabanas, 30 lounge chairs and some nice tables for us to enjoy.
Melissa and I will be staying Friday and Saturday nights ourselves and we hope you'll join us. All rooms are $200/night, some are single and some are double occupancy.
Reach out if you have any questions. You can email me at [masked] or text [masked]

- Lets read...Alone
Hello book lovers! Let’s read and discuss – Alone, by E. J. Noyes. Half a million dollars will be Celeste Thorne’s reward for spending four years of her life in total isolation. No faces. No voices. No way to leave.
Since Celeste has never really worried about being alone, the generous paycheck she’ll receive for her participation in the solitary psychological experiment seems like easy money.
When she finds an injured hiker in the woods bordering her living compound, her strictly governed world is thrown into disarray. But even as she struggles with the morality of breaking the rules of the experiment, Celeste can’t deny her growing attraction to the kind and enigmatic Olivia Soldano. Still, how much can you really trust a stranger? And how much can you trust yourself when you know all the faces you’ve seen and voices you’ve heard for the past three years have only been your imagination?
But what’s real? Celeste’s reality may lie somewhere between the absolute truth and a carefully constructed deception.
· 288 pages. (9 hours and 52 minutes on audio.) Plan accordingly.
What would you do for half a million dollars? - Jo Jo 😊
NOTES FOR MEETING
** Please be prompt, and plan to stay until we close out as a group or at 8:30 pm Pacific. We open with a short icebreaker within a few minutes of the start time, which is great for getting to know one another better. Arriving late or leaving early “individually” can distract the group discussion, so arriving on time and staying until 8:30 pm Pacific, is appreciated. We do occasionally stay later but if you need to bow out then, no worries. And…we could finish early. (Early has not happened, but I am just saying it could. Lol.)
** It is a social event so please have your video ON. It is also for transparency and peace of mind for all our members in this Zoom world.
WHERE: Zoom - Attendees will receive a private link and password on the day of the event. I will post a comment when I have sent it. Please do not share or post the link or your password.
Make sure your Meet Up notification setting for email is on for this group. (If you saw this book discussion announced via email, your setting is on. ;))
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your sweet self, any notes that you may want to share, and your favorite beverage. :)- YES RSVPs, if you can't make it, please take a moment to change your RSVP to NOT GOING asap. It is just a courteous thing to do. :)
** If you are new to zoom, watch this video. Make sure to watch the video to the end. (A little over 5 minutes.) A senior does a great job of showing the various items you will want to know about. It is easy! Really. https://youtu.be/kh50kVaIdAY

- Intimate Lesbian++ Hot Springs Retreat in Northern CA - Singles Welcome!
My close friend, Ruth Schwartz, director of The Conscious Girlfriend Academy is leading a very special weekend retreat with her partner Alex. I personally recommend anything that Ruth offers so please check it out!
Whether you came out recently or decades ago, whether you feel hindered in your sexual expression or just want to expand, and whether you feel excited, terrified or both as you read these words -- this retreat is for you! Our >>intimate hot springs retreat will help you celebrate yourself as you are, and discover and go further on your own personal erotic liberation trajectory. You deserve this. Your desire, pleasure and freedom are transformational forces in your life and on earth! Limited to 12 participants - this retreat will fill quickly! Some people have already signed up through non-Meetup venues.
We will share Yoga Nidra meditation, singing, dance, great food and company, and powerful exercises to help expand erotic aliveness. Come as you are! Most participants will be single; couples welcome, too.
The Place
Mercey Hot Springs is a rustic, tranquil off-grid resort 2.5 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area and 4 hours from Los Angeles. There are clothing optional and bathing-suit-required areas with hot springs piped into huge bathtubs, a warm springs swimming pool, a huge labyrinth, endless hiking, and abundance of birds, including long-eared owls. Mercey offers a variety of housing options including camping and cabins. You'll need to select and reserve your own lodging. Registration for the retreat covers tuition and meals, but not accommodations.
The Program
Our three days together will include deep exploration and practice to release internalized homophobia and shame, explore and embrace your unique gender and erotic nature, and cultivate and expand your capacity for sexual pleasure, solo or with others. Come alone, leave with friends! Couples welcome, too. FYI: Although one of the tub areas is clothing-optional, our workshop time will be clothed.
The Why
This gathering is inspired by lesbian visionary Audre Lorde, author of The Erotic as Power, who wrote: Recognizing the power of the erotic within our lives can give us the energy to pursue genuine change within our world... For not only do we touch our most profoundly creative source, but we do that which is female and self-affirming in the face of a racist, patriarchal, and anti-erotic society.
The Details
We will meet from Friday, April 21 at 1:00 p.m. through Sunday, April 23 at 5:00 p.m. The workshop fee of $949 includes meals and snacks from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Get more info and register here!

- Lesbian, Queer and Bisexual Women Making New Friends (Los Angeles, CA)
Please join us for food and drinks at this newish lesbian owned queer venue in Silver Lake (Los Angeles). I will be there from 5pm to 11pm but feel free to pop in any time. I do not know if this place will be packed so if you do not come early then I apologize for not being able to hold a table for all of us. We will have to be flexible and spontaneous upon arrival because I do not know what to expect being that this venue is newish.
Here is a recent article on Ruby Fruit: https://la.eater.com/2023/2/23/23612144/ruby-fruit-natural-wine-bar-lesbian-woman-owned-eszett-employees-silver-lake-los-angeles
To find me inside...
I will have a bright yellow paper stuck to my black backpack that says "Meet Up" in bold black ink. It will either be on the table or on my back. Feel free to text me at[masked] if you cannot find us upon arrival.**********Update as of 3/11/23**********
The owner emailed me back and wrote this:
"The restaurant has 34 seats plus standing room. We have a small (SMALL) outdoor area with flexible space for another 10-15 ppl. There are no heat lamps at this time. It’s very come as you are, casual, and mingle-y. We are technically a full service restaurant but the weekends are pretty lively and very crowded."Can you please meet me at the host stand at 5pm? If you cannot make it at 5pm then can you please text me before 5pm on the day of the event and let me know that you are for sure attending? That way when we check in at 5pm I can ask for a table accommodating the exact headcount?

- Sacred Roots Group Journey to Greece!
We would love to have you join us on our two part international adventure to Greece!
For the first five days, we will be joined by a new friend Dimitra, a brilliant lesbian archeologist and expert on all things Greek. She has designed an experiential adventure on the mainland where we will not only explore both the ancient and modern areas of Athens but will also venture through villages, museums, castletowns, cultural hotspots and archeological sites to learn about the beauty and history of Greece, focusing on the goddesses. There will be a farmers picnic, wine and olive tasting and other authentic experiences like that.
The second part of our trip is on Isle of Lesvos where we will stay at Amazones Eco-land, a lesbian retreat center owned by a new friend, Ronit. It is a special piece of land with a beautiful view of the sea. Based there, we will venture out to explore villages and monistaries along with participating in Greek cooking, art and dance classes, singing and dancing, yoga and women's circles and more.
Beyone what is mentioned above, this journey is about connecting as a group and making and deepening friendships.
There are 12 of us going so far. We have room for a few more!
Please visit lesbiangetaways.com where you can learn more and click on a variety of links to view accommodations and learn more about our exciting adventure.
Please reach out with any questions you may have. [masked]/(707)[masked].

- Disneyland Red Shirt PRIDE Day for LGBTQIA2S+ and Allies
Let’s meet at Disneyland on June 3, 2023 for RED SHIRT PRIDE DAY AROUND THE WORLD to help spread the message of Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, Safe Expression and Kindness around the world. The KindRED Pride Foundation was inspired by a 30 year-long tradition which began when members of the LGBTQ community donned red shirts and visited Disney World Orlando on every first Saturday in June.
I thought it would be fun to create an annual gathering here in California to stand in solidarity with the East Coast folx during PRIDE MONTH. So put on your RED SHIRT and meet us at the ticket gates at 7:30am for rope drop. Don’t feel like getting up early? There will be multiple opportunities to get together:
*7:30 am just inside the ticket gates in front of the iconic Mickey Mouse flowers for our first group photo (look for the red shirts!)
*11:00 am lunch at Rancho Del Zocalo in Adventureland
*12:30 pm at the Castle for our next group shot with our photographer
*5:00 pm for our final group photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle
*5:15 pm We’ll begin our trek to the Hungry Bear for dinnerYour RSVP will help us keep track of who is coming, however you will be responsible for the following:
1. Obtain your own Disneyland park ticket https://disneyland.disney.go.com/experience-updates/park-reservations/
2. Make your Disneyland park reservation for June 3,[masked]. Arrange for your own transportation (carpooling and ride-sharing suggested, and I bet some of us will be up for it, so please ask about that in the comments.)
4. WEAR A RED SHIRT! While at Disneyland please feel free to stay together or do your own thing.Jenn’s phone number is[masked] which you can use to text her during the event.
