Family Constellation for People of Chinese Descent
Details
Some of the patterns we carry — in our relationships, our emotions, our sense of self — didn't begin with us. They were passed down through generations, quietly shaping how we love, grieve, and belong.
Family Constellations is a powerful therapeutic method that brings these hidden dynamics to light. Drawing on family systems therapy, drama therapy, and Zulu wisdom traditions, this group process invites you to step into a living map of your family system — where representatives hold space for relatives, ancestors, and even forgotten or excluded members of your lineage.
Guided by the Orders of Love, healing comes, not by cutting off the past, but by welcoming it — allowing every part of your story, and every member of your family line, to finally belong.
Family Constellations with Chinese UNtraining
In these unsettling times of war and chaos, we will explore the concept of home. We will sit with the complexity of questions around homeland, displacement, and psychological homelessness, and through the lens of UNtraining, we will also give voice to experiences of invisibility and in betweenness. This gathering holds particular space for those of Chinese descent navigating what it means to live in an America that meets us with hate and disdain — honoring both the grief of that reality and the resilience woven through our lineages.
This constellation event will offer the opportunity to stand together in recognition of our shared Chinese ancestral lineage.
There will be plenty of people who have not experienced a family constellation and we will provide ample orientation to all participants. No prep work and/or prior experience is required.
