About us

Hello all, and sundry. Me and some friends regularly go to different gallery openings, mostly in Manhattan. We've been talking about making it a little bit more of a social club in the sense that we open it up to people we don't know.

The game plan is as follows. Meet at a given address and then see somewhere in the realm of two to four gallery openings on foot. Keep it to a neighborhood as opposed to traveling around on the train. Then afterward, grab a snack or coffee. Discuss what we've learned, or not, as the case may be.

Note that most galleries have receptions on a Thursday evening at 6p.m., so that would be generally when we would meet. I don't think we would go beyond 8 p.m. on most occasions. Occasionally, a special outing to a museum if the opportunity arises.

Couple of ground rules:

  1. Be nice and courteous and respectful.
  2. Don't be a bore.

I don't like posses, so the outings will be limited to just a few people.
