What we’re about
We started this group originally in the North County area of San Diego and want to grow it to all of SD plus South Orange County as well to change the stigma of homeschooling just a little bit. I have met many parents who feel they have to fit into the typical mold of what society thinks a homeschooler is. Times have changed and a lot of people are finding out just how cool homeschooling their kids can be and have fun doing it. Some of the amazing families who wanted this group started are travelers, fitness buffs, CEO's, sports fanatics, professional shoppers, skaters, independent home schoolers, and surfers just to name several. Whether you're a more conventional homeschooler or just go with the flow, the one thing we all have in common is that we do it our way and give our children the best education and balanced life as possible.
We want this group to be about homeschoolers having fun, supporting & encouraging each other, and to open more social opportunities for parents and kids. Please leave the drama at home! The goal is to meet friends and establish bonds throughout the year making homeschooling the best experience we can. We like to think of ourselves as modern moms with cool kids and welcome all who want to have a fun homeschooling experience. We will be doing many different activities like play dates, field trips, park days, beach days, exercise buddies, MNO, book clubs, movies, parties, co-ops, camping, rock climbing, shopping, etc. We encourage all members to suggest and plan activities. Hope this group can open the door for lots of good times throughout the year!
