We’ve set the strategy, but now what do we actually do? How do you decide what content ideas to prioritise? Or when your stakeholders have an idea for another shiny thing, how do you map that new thing’s relative value against everything else in train. Many models for content strategy help framing our understanding — but don’t have a clear line of sight to action.

This is where the Northstar Framework comes in: a simple, visual tool for prioritizing tactics based on needs, resourcing and value.

In this talk by content strategist Matt Fenwick, you’ll learn:

  • How to engage stakeholders in collaboratively prioritizing tactics
  • Ways of capturing needs, resourcing and value
  • Using tactical models like the Northstar Framework as part of your strategy and influencing.

About Our Speaker
Matt Fenwick is a content strategist from Canberra, Australia. His main problem is that he is interested in every single aspect of content, from information architecture to brand storytelling and content ops. He’s also neurodivergent, which probably explains being interested in all the things, as well as his ability to synthesise massive amounts of information into something useful. He runs True North Content and works mainly with government, peak bodies and large corporates who have tonnes of messy content.
